Our story
Since time immemorial, women have been a force of nature and sustained life on Earth for ages. Driven by the purpose of empowering women, at Prabhu Naidu Ltd. we are committed to ensuring a brighter future for rural women of India while honoring Mother Earth.
Started in 2010 as a fabric manufacturer, we evolved as Prabhu Naidu in 2017, with a sharpened focus on producing eco-friendly cotton and recycled bags that provide sustainable livelihoods for women. Through our EmpowHER initiative, we upskill rural women, enabling them to produce world-class eco-friendly bags. Our family has grown to more than 5,200 women, who have produced over 1 crore eco-friendly bags. Today, we have a daily production capacity of 500,000 bags, reinforcing our commitment to sustainable growth.
We believe that empowering women is crucial for driving social change and building resilient communities. By integrating upskilling, environmental responsibility, and economic opportunities, we are fostering positive change, paving the way for a more equitable and sustainable world.

At Prabhu Naidu Limited, every stitch tells a story of empowerment and self-reliance. As an impact-focused organization, we empower rural women to become self-sufficient change-makers. By upskilling them to manufacture premium quality sustainable bags, we promote the use of biodegradable and recycled materials.
Currently operating with a family of more than 5000 women, our vision is to expand it to 150,000 women, fostering self-sustainability and enriching communities. Through technical workshops, financial literacy programs, and entrepreneurship training, we equip individuals with the tools they need to thrive in all aspects of life. We believe in empowering society through upskilling and providing the freedom to choose, enabling women to thrive as voices of impact within their communities.
